Symbol Type 8 (Core / Wire Symbol)
Symbol type 8 is used for core and wire symbols, and can be evaluated, if the symbol class (code number 1600) is used with the corresponding default settings. The symbol of type 8 with its logical connections is responsible for the fact that a connection receives its properties.
The core symbol differs from the wire symbol as follows:
• The core symbol provides the properties for the electrical connection. Several cores can be combined to one cable.
• The wire symbol provides the properties for one single electrical connection, and hence describes a single wire.
As the connection in itself has no information (core cross-section, colour, etcetera), the entire information is transferred to the connection with the symbols of type 8 via the logical terminals (LOGANS).
